ManyChat Pricing in India (2026): What It Really Costs in Rupees
Every ManyChat plan in rupees at today's rate, plus 18% GST, bank fees, active-contact overages and Indian card renewal problems. Checked Oct 2026.
ManyChat doesn't publish rupee prices. Its plans are listed in US dollars, it bills by "active contacts", and tax is added at checkout, so the number on the pricing page isn't what an Indian creator or business actually pays. This guide converts every plan to rupees, adds GST and card charges, and shows what the bill looks like at different audience sizes.
Short answer: at about ₹97 to the dollar (rate on 10 October 2026), ManyChat Essential costs about ₹1,650 a month and Pro about ₹3,780 a month on monthly billing, before GST. With 18% GST and a typical bank fee, Pro comes to roughly ₹4,600 a month.

ManyChat Plans in Rupees
ManyChat switched to active-contact pricing on 2 March 2026. An active contact is anyone who sends or receives a message through ManyChat in a month; one person counts once per month.

Yearly plans are paid upfront: Essential is $168 (about ₹16,300) and Pro is $348 (about ₹33,760) for the year. Rupee figures use ₹97 per dollar and exclude tax. ManyChat says its final price depends on your billing country and shows it at checkout, so treat these as estimates and check the purchase page.
The Free plan covers 25 active contacts, up to 4 live triggers, and adds "Powered by Manychat" to the first message each person receives. Manychat AI is included from Pro upwards.
What You Actually Pay: GST and Bank Charges
Two things get added to the dollar price for most Indian buyers.
- GST. ManyChat's prices exclude tax. Digital services bought from abroad are taxed in India at 18%. If you're an individual creator, expect it on your bill. If your business is GST-registered, you'd normally pay it under reverse charge and can usually claim it back as input tax credit. Your CA can confirm what applies to you.
- Bank forex fee. Most Indian cards charge a markup on foreign-currency payments, commonly 2 to 3.5%. Some travel and forex cards charge nothing, so check yours.
For ManyChat Pro on monthly billing, that works out like this:

How Active Contacts Change the Bill
The plan price is only the starting point. If more people message you than your plan covers, ManyChat keeps your automations running and charges for each extra contact. Its pricing FAQ confirms the overage; pricing trackers list it at about $0.10 per extra contact on Essential, $0.05 on Pro and $0.025 on Business (monthly billing).
Every person who comments your keyword and gets an auto-DM is an active contact. Here's roughly what different months cost, choosing the cheapest plan each time:

That's the part that catches creators out: the month your content works best is the month the bill jumps. Plan for your busiest month, not your average one.
Paying ManyChat From India
You'll need a card that works for international payments. ManyChat's own help centre has an article on payment problems for users in India: because of RBI e-mandate rules for recurring payments, the first payment can go through and a later renewal can fail, which can drop the account to the free plan.
ManyChat's suggested fix is to go to Settings → Billing → Update billing credentials, re-enter the card without ticking the box to save it for one-click checkout, then click Renew subscription. If you don't see the Billing tab, the account owner or an admin has to give you billing permission. If it keeps failing, raise a support ticket. Setting a calendar reminder for your renewal date saves a nasty surprise mid-campaign.
When ManyChat Is Worth It in India
ManyChat is a strong product, and for some businesses the cost is justified:
- You automate WhatsApp too. Pro adds WhatsApp alongside Instagram and other channels. For Indian businesses that sell on WhatsApp, one tool for both can be worth the price. Meta's WhatsApp messaging charges are billed on top.
- You need complex flows. Branching logic, tags, custom fields and integrations with tools like Shopify, HubSpot or Google Sheets.
- You have a team. Higher plans add more seats and a shared inbox.
If you mainly want "comment a keyword, get the link" on Instagram, with lead capture and follow-ups, you'll be paying for a lot you don't use, in dollars, plus GST, with a bill that grows every time a Reel takes off.
