Personal Data
While using Our Service, We may ask You to provide Us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify You. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:

Instagram & Facebook Platform Data (Meta Compliance)
HeyDM allows You to create an account and log in using Your Facebook or Instagram credentials. In compliance with Meta's Platform Policy, we collect strictly necessary data to provide automation services:
- Profile Information: Your Instagram Username, User ID, and Profile Picture.
- Content Data: We access your Media (Posts, Reels) specifically to detect comments for automation.
- Interaction Data: We process incoming comments and Direct Messages (DMs) to trigger the rules you set up.
Security Note: We DO NOT store your Instagram or Facebook passwords. Authentication is handled securely via standard OAuth 2.0 protocols.
Usage Data
Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service. It may include Your Device's IP address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that You visit, the time and date of Your visit, the time spent on those pages, and other diagnostic data.
Use of Your Personal Data
The Company may use Personal Data for the following purposes:
- To provide and maintain our Service: specifically to automate replies to Instagram comments and DMs.
- To manage Your Account: to manage Your registration as a user of the Service.
- For the performance of a contract: the development, compliance and undertaking of the purchase contract for the products or services You have purchased.
- To contact You: regarding updates, security alerts, and new features via email or SMS.
- For business transfers: We may use Your information to evaluate or conduct a merger, divestiture, restructuring, or other sale.
Data Privacy & No Sale Policy
We strictly adhere to a "No Sell" policy. We do not sell, trade, or rent Your Personal Data or Instagram Platform Data to third parties, data brokers, or advertisers. Your data is used exclusively to provide the automation services You have requested.
Retention of Your Personal Data
The Company will retain Your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain Platform Data (Instagram Data) only as long as You have an active account with us.
If You disconnect Your Instagram account or delete Your HeyDM account, we automatically initiate a deletion process for Your associated Platform Data from our live systems. This process is typically completed within 30 days, ensuring compliance with Meta's Platform Terms.
Transfer of Your Personal Data
Your information, including Personal Data, is processed at the Company's operating offices and in any other places where the parties involved in the processing are located. Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by Your submission of such information represents Your agreement to that transfer.
Disclosure of Your Personal Data
Business Transactions
If the Company is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, Your Personal Data may be transferred. We will provide notice before Your Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.
Law Enforcement
Under certain circumstances, the Company may be required to disclose Your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g. a court or a government agency).
Data Deletion Instructions (Your Rights)
You have the right to request the deletion of the Personal Data that We have collected about You. In compliance with Meta's User Data Deletion requirements, You can delete your data in the following ways:
1. In-App Deletion (Recommended)
Log in to your HeyDM account, go to Settings > General, and click on the "Delete Account" button. This will permanently delete your account and all associated data from our servers.
2. Via Facebook/Instagram Settings
You can revoke our access and trigger a data deletion request directly through Facebook:
- Go to your Facebook Account "Settings & Privacy" > "Settings".
- Scroll down to "Apps and Websites".
- Find "HeyDM" in the list.
- Click "Remove". This will revoke our access and automatically send us a request to delete your data.
3. Manual Request
If you are unable to access your account, you may email us at [email protected] with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". We will verify your identity and delete your data within 30 days.
Security of Your Personal Data
The security of Your Personal Data is important to Us. We use industry-standard SSL encryption and secure server infrastructure. However, remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
Children's Privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If You are a parent or guardian and You are aware that Your child has provided Us with Personal Data, please contact Us.
